The universal steady rest (2013 model) can fit this pair of 250 mm extended arms that are very useful for bowls of medium/large size.

We suggest you to use: the two standard arms on the column and to adjust them behind the workpiece; then, put these two longer arms in front of it.
In case of even bigger bowls, you could also use two steady rests: one behind the workpiece and the other one in front of it, both with the extended arms.
